What are the larger dangers to our usefulness? Are they the "sub-cultures" most of us share, the "shop-keeper" mentality of the North American milieu, or are the largest dangers external to us altogether? Can we be held responsible for our lack of effectiveness? What are we to do? Wither and die? Are the claims that we really come together to socialize and not for commerce facile and self-serving?
